The Orator

Finally finished my summer project. :]
I spent around 36 hours on the lines for this one (all drawn with standard brush in Photoshop) and around 50 hours total- so it was a big project for me. I tried to get a little done each day after work, but my fluctuating moods were a little difficult to deal with, so I set huge chunks of time aside to just work on this.

I think it came out pretty well. /proud
This piece is based on a photo I took at this past year's Animazement of some lady heading the Steampunk Fashion panel. Somehow she morphed into this colonial-looking forefather thing. Go figure.
Initially I was tempted to make this a stereotypical steampunk drawing with loads of brown, brass, and gears, but instead kinda defaulted to my normal style, which might have actually been the better move.

I'm linking to some thumbnails so that the detail I put into this thing won't get completely lost. :\
