Disassemble

The more you unravel some mysteries, the more there is to discover, it seems.
I've been reading Unweaving the Rainbow recently, and a lot of things have been on my mind since starting that book. Frustration at society, reevaluation of myself, the need to go outside and live.

This pic initially had nothing to do with those ideas, or so I thought.
I swear, this always happens: I start with some idea about what I want to do, start working on it, and it will change completely based on what's running on autopilot in the back of my mind. I've noticed it actually has a lot to do with color. :\
This piece was supposed to simply be something to sell at Animazement this year- a cute and simple drawing of a cat. But despite the kanji for "neko" on his nose and the robot beneath, there's really nothing marketable or relative to that audience. Go figure.

...I still like it.
Used gold again.
Not sure I like the left side at all.
