For sale at Animazement this year!

I might actually like this guy better... which is weird, because I like the lines for the last one more than the lines for this guy. Go figure.
Not much to say- it's just another narwhal. ^^;

How do you get suck awesome water effects?!? I always end up making it look really gritty, and messy if I play with it too much, yours comes out perfectly.

Ahh... um, do you do lots of wet-on-wet work? Use paper under 140lb(300gsm)? Brush over wet paint a lot?
Those things will end up gritting up your paper a lot. If it's not any of that, I'm not really sure what could be doing it.
It also helps if you tape down your paper with painter's tape after brushing the back with water to prevent buckling and all that :3

Oh Okay, I've actually never done the brushing the back with water thing. XD
I'm using high lb paper, my problem is probably the brush over wet paint thing.
Thank you though, I'm trying to get my portfolio straight for the architecture review committee in November.

Ah, the colors in this! THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL. WHAT'S GOING ON?!
Ian, if there's something wrong, it's okay to let us know.

Also, I love the waves. They're so... DESIGN-Y? I don't know what the word I'm looking for is. D:

Haha, idk man. I've been really busy, but I'm sure I was actually TRYING to use bright colors this time.
Does... does this mean I didn't spite myself for once? </stopthepressplz>

I like the waves too! I looked back to my first narwhal and wanted to replicate the wave designs... but they were so intricate! And I had like... 2 days. So. I kinda started to halfass it, but it worked somehow. If only the coloring was better :I

I don't know, but I like it.

Haha! It looks so good, though. I know what you mean, but do think it looks great the way it is. And I think the coloring looks fine, too. >:I

Thank you! :boogie:
Seems like I didn't make the colors all muddy for once, based on all this feedback. Lul.
